FEMININE INFECTION
PREVENTION
Prevention Strategies
Hygiene: Proper hygiene is crucial in preventing
infections. Women should wipe from front to back after
using the bathroom to prevent bacteria from entering the
urethra and causing a UTI.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps flush
bacteria out of the urinary tract, reducing the risk of UTIs.
Don’t Wait: Urinate soon after sexual activity to clear the
urethra of any bacteria.
Wear Breathable Clothing: Opt for cotton underwear and
avoid tight-fitting clothes that can trap moisture, which
creates a perfect environment for yeast infections.
Stay Dry: Keeping the vaginal area dry helps prevent the
overgrowth of yeast.
Avoid Irritants: Products like scented soaps, bubble baths,
and douches can disrupt the natural pH balance of the
vagina, increasing the risk of yeast infections.
